Call for the Industry to Conduct Safety Time-Out

On May 9th, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had highlighted the alarming number of work-related deaths, 10 of which were in April alone. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM), along with Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and other industry partners have called for a Safety Time-Out, urging companies to impose a two-weeks safety time-out from Monday, after 10 workplace fatalities were reported last month.
