The Industry Transformation Map (ITM) Networking Event at the Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) kicked off today at the Singapore Expo, where 5 ITMs from the Advanced Manufacturing & Trade (AMT) Cluster will be launched at ITAP this year: Aerospace, Electronics, Energy & Chemicals, Precision Engineering and Logistics.
The Container Tracking System (CTR) was featured as part of Singapore’s Logistics ITM. CTR aims to tackle the longstanding pain points of our industry, of the lacking visibility of our fleet and chassis assets, managing them, and optimizing their use as well as pooling together resources for use to reduce wastage and further reduce our carbon footprints.
CDAS Deputy President Mr. Ricky Loo attended the ITM Networking Event, which was graced by Mr Heng Swee Keat Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, and Guest-of-Honour for ITAP. He was also joined by the Co-chairs of the AMT Sub-Committee – Mr Alvin Tan , Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth; and Mr Kok Sing Chen, Corporate Vice President & Singapore Country Manager, Micron.
To continue to remain competitive in this challenging economic landscape, it is more important now than ever, for our industry to continue on its digitalization journey alongside the ITM towards becoming Asia’s (and eventually the world) leading logistics ecosystem.
If you haven’t done so, do reach out to us to learn how you can come along, as we join you on this journey together.
