Call for the Industry to Conduct Safety Time-Out

On May 9th, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had highlighted the alarming number of work-related deaths, 10 of which were in April alone. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM), along with Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and other industry partners have called for a Safety Time-Out, urging companies to impose a two-weeks safety time-out from Monday, after 10 workplace fatalities were reported last month. In Memory of CDAS Council Member – Mr Soh Keng Hua

The association was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr Soh Keng Hua, CDAS Council Member, on 23 March 2022. Mr. Soh was CEO of Tong Container Depot Pte Ltd, and was part of the CDAS Council, which he had contributed to as a representative voice towards guiding the Association towards bringing the industry to greater heights. We will always appreciate his service and contributions to the Association and industry  as well as his friendly personality. Mr. Soh will be deeply missed by us all and we at CDAS express our sincerest condolences to his family and friends. [...]

Contributing Back to Society – Delivering Mooncakes

Following our mooncake distributions, CDAS had embarked on giving back to society, together with Project Dignity, and helped distribute sponsored mooncakes to NTUC Health Cluster Support. NTUC Health Cluster Support provides intervention care for vulnerable seniors who have no or little family support., and aims to enhance their quality of life and ensure that they have the resources to live safely, independently at home, in their preferred community for as long as possible.
